Asking us to look at something
There is no form and no portal. There is an address and a short list of what makes a request workable.
What to send
- The original file, not a copy of a copy. A recording re-shot off a screen, or forwarded through a messaging app that recompresses it, has usually lost the exact detail an analysis depends on.
- Where it came from and who has held it. Disclosure package, phone, a body worn camera export, a download link. If the chain is unclear, say so rather than guessing.
- What you think happened, and what you are being told happened. The gap between those two is normally where the useful question is.
- Any deadline. A court date changes what is worth attempting.
What happens next
A request is either accepted or declined, and a decline comes with the reason. There is no waiting list that quietly never moves.
If it is accepted, the analysis is done to the same standard as paid work at neverenders.tech. There is no reduced tier for pro bono. An analysis that would not survive an adversarial reading is worth nothing to the person relying on it, and doing a worse job for free is not charity.
What this cannot do
It cannot tell you what a person was thinking. It cannot recover detail that was never recorded, and it will not invent it: a request to enhance a face out of nine visible pixels gets a plain no.
It is not legal advice and it does not create a solicitor client relationship. A report describes what a recording does and does not show. What that means for a case is for a lawyer.
It cannot promise a helpful answer. Analysis sometimes confirms the account you were hoping to challenge. That result is reported exactly as readily as the other one, which is the only reason the favourable ones are worth anything.
Where to send it
Write to foundation at neverenders.org with a short description first, before sending files. Large unsolicited attachments from unknown senders are not opened.
Mailbox provisioning is in progress. Until it completes, requests should go through the contact route at neverenders.tech, which is monitored. This note will be removed and dated when the Foundation address is live.
